FAQs
I combine cognitive hypnotherapy with psychotherapy in order to really serve my clients and achieve solutions.
This 'Integrative' model integrates evidence-based elements from Psychotherapy, Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Positive Psychology, among others; so I am not limited to one practice and nor is the client, there is something for everyone.
Fundamentally, within hypno-psychotherapy we aim to connect with your unconscious memories and feelings as well as what you are experiencing in the here and now, and that's where the next stage of neurological and physiological change work starts. Therefore, it's much more than the client using a session to simply (often still employing their conscious / logical mind) to talk or dwell on their issue with little input by their deeper senses and the therapist.

What is Hypnotherapy exactly?
It’s certainly not about being controlled or “put under.” You remain aware, in control, and actively involved throughout.
It recognises that:
Many of our reactions are automatic and shaped by past experiences;
These patterns often have a positive intention (to protect us);
But they can become outdated or unhelpful;
Is tailored entirely to you;
Draws on psychology, neuroscience, and therapeutic techniques;
Works with both conscious thinking and unconscious patterns;
Focuses on creating practical, lasting change;
A Natural State You Already Experience
The state used in hypnotherapy—often called “trance”—is something you go into every day.
For example:
Getting lost in thought while driving
Being absorbed in a film or book
Daydreaming or replaying conversations
These are all forms of focused attention, where your mind becomes more engaged with your inner experience than your surroundings .
Hypnotherapy simply uses this natural ability deliberately and purposefully.
Not Stage Hypnosis
Hypnotherapy is very different from what you might have seen on stage or TV. Stage hypnosis is entertainment, often involving social pressure, suggestion, and performance.
Therapy is collaborative and respectful. Therapists such as myself are trained academically, are registered and must be accredited, as well as monitored by UK governing institutions and supervision. We must also continue our professional training and studies to remain up-to-date.
You are never made to do anything against your will.
You cannot be controlled or lose awareness.
In fact, the process is more about helping you regain control, not giving it away.
How the Process Works
Many of our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours run automatically—like habits or learned responses. In Cognitive Hypnotherapy, we:
1. Understand Your Pattern
We explore what’s happening for you—how you think, feel, and respond in certain situations.
2. Access the Pattern
Using focused attention (trance), we help you step into your internal experience—your “story”—in a safe and guided way.
This might involve:
Imagery
Memory
Emotional patterns
Internal dialogue
Connecting with Body
3. Reframe and Update
From this position, we can:
See things differently
Change the meaning of past experiences
Update outdated responses
Create new, more helpful patterns
This works because in a focused state, the mind becomes more open to new perspectives and possibilities .

Essentially, my practice is not suited for clinical conditions, such as Bipolar disorder, as I am not a medically trained doctor and thus, under UK and EU regulations, am not authorised to work with clients diagnosed with such conditions. While individuals living with conditions like Cancer can potentially benefit from working with a Hypnotherapist (for pain / lifestyle management issues), I have opted not to specialise in this area. However, I highly recommend seeking a therapist who does focus on managing elements of such clinical conditions, as there are many skilled professionals in this field.
I also do not currently work with pregnant women nor children, or *those diagnosed with a clinical eating disorder.

My standard online therapy session fees are 95eur / 90gbp for each session. Some sessions will be 60minutes and others 90min. We discuss which session is most appropriate throughout your journey.
I suggest booking 4-6 session slots and payments to be cleared before or on the day of the session to ensure clarity of payments for all parties.
Please note that at the moment I am unable to take payments via insurance companies or the French Health insurance system including mutuelle.
Fees to be paid via debit/credit card or doing bank transfer to a UK or French bank account.
I provide individualised one-to-one online therapy sessions for adults aged 18 and over.
A digital-first approach affords clients worldwide the flexibility to access therapy from the comfort of their own environment.
Sessions, which are conducted in English, last approximately from 1 to 1.5 hours and are available to book at various times to accommodate different schedules and time-zones (I am currently based in Paris, France).
The convenience of online therapy not only preserves your energy for your actual therapeutic work, but it also offers greater flexibility to align therapy sessions with your other obligations.
After we have had an initial chat on the phone (whatsapp call or standard); I can confirm if I am the right therapist for you. Thereafter, I will send you some forms and info to read through, sign and return. We then book your first session.
In the first session, we conduct a 'history take' - this session is 1.5hours - to focus what you are looking to resolve and other background information to help us both steer the following therapy sessions, and I can also formulate a plan in my own time for your treatment.
Then the sessions go from there; like traditional therapy the client has the space to talk, explore, but we will also do some exercises, I also pose questions so it's about a collaborative process - all in a safe space and pace - helping you move towards creating some tangible changes in your life. Initially it can take up to 4-8 sessions of psychotherapy before we can move on to Hypnotherapy depending on what issue we are working on - but a client feels ready for hypnotherapy sooner then we will make arrangements for that.
Please feel free to email me via the contact page on any other questions you may have.
In science-based therapies like ours, it's not feasible to precisely predict the number of sessions required for each individual, as everyone's experience and response to events, even within the same family, can differ significantly. Caution is advised when encountering therapies that claim guaranteed results within a specific timeframe or for a fixed cost. As a practitioner registered with several UK Healthcare agencies, I uphold ethical standards that preclude offering such guarantees.
Typically, it is advisable to start with a commitment to a minimum of six sessions, preferably on a weekly basis and at a consistent time. This structure aids in managing your schedule effectively. The frequency is adaptable, with some clients preferring twice-weekly sessions. Flexibility is key, and with adequate notice, you are free to cancel or reschedule appointments as needed. The decision to continue, pause, or conclude therapy remains entirely in your hands.
In my personal experience, hypnotherapy yielded more significant results in a shorter timeframe compared to traditional psychotherapy. However, this did not lead me to cease therapy prematurely; instead, I chose to continue exploring and effecting change in various aspects of my life. For some, therapy may focus on a singular issue, while others might treat it as an ongoing process, akin to a gym membership for their mind and soul, ensuring regular mental and emotional upkeep.

I offer techniques and exercises to complement and build upon our session work, tailored for those with busy schedules to ensure they are easily integrated into your daily routine.
Some may work for you, some may not, again it's about finding what gels with you and that's why I
encourage my clients to regularly update me on their progress or any challenges.
I don't want therapy to be a burden, but a way for clients to release negative energy. I want any exercise we decide upon to be helpful and creative rather than 'homework'. Nevertheless, therapy can be hard at times, often you may dip but that's normal, sometimes you may not do any out of session work, and that's ok - we can look at all of this as there is always an underlying reason behind each behaviour. Everything is positive information for your development.
Clients are always welcome to ask me for additional resources and where I can assist, I will be happy to.
A journaling session is conducted online, mirroring the format of a standard therapy session.
For an optimal experience, I recommend selecting a notebook specifically for this purpose. Choose writing instruments that you enjoy using, such as pens or pencils. Additionally, a computer or a large tablet is necessary to ensure clear visual and audio communication between us.
Please arrange your space to comfortably use your notebook, such as at a desk, though the ultimate choice of setting should be where you feel most secure and at ease.
Business coaching sessions follow a structure similar to hypnotherapy and talking therapy. It all starts with an introductory call, during which we discuss your challenges and objectives. This initial conversation helps us determine if I am the right fit to assist you.
Subsequently, we proceed with an initial session where we delve into your history and context, laying the foundation for our work together.
Whether you are in the early stages of just considering/wishing to create a new business venture or already actively involved in an organisation/your own business, our coaching sessions can benefit you. We can focus on both business planning and personal development. For those currently employed, self-employed or leading an organisation, we'll explore your goals and identify any obstacles preventing you from achieving them and having meaningful, positive experiences.
These sessions will require working with your 'self' and in that having a holistic view of both your professional-personal self.
My fees for online sessions are set at 120 EUR/ 120 GBP per session, typically lasting up to 1.5 hours.
If you're interested in exploring further or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by clicking "book a call".
Payments can be made via debit/credit card or BACs (bank transfer) to a UK or French bank account.
