My Therapy Services

01.

Incorporating techniques of both hypnotherapy and talking therapy (psychotherapy), I work with adult clients to help them work through their challenges and progress towards a 'solution state'. Sessions are dynamic - we will talk, work with and within the body, and use visualisation, sensory and audio modalities - to really get to the root of the issue by connecting with your unconscious, leaving your logical, conscious brain aside - in a safe, secure non-judgemental space, at your pace.

 

Sessions are online 60minutes for psychotherapy and 90 minutes for hypnotherapy. A key element of my practice is that therapy must be tailored to each client. My training has provided a tool-kit that can be adapted for the wide variety of my clients and their individual needs; I do not limit my clients to a particular school of psychotherapy.

My particular interest is working with clients who are on a self-discovery / self-analysis journey, recognising that we cannot change nor control others or every situation according to our will and desires. Hence, the only real power we have is to nurture our own character, personality, ideas and beliefs, awareness and abilities to manage life in more meaningful way. This type of work requires commitment and facing up to uncomfortable feelings and states; but knowing that this is a necessary process for achieving more helpful states and personal freedom.

Journaling can be a highly effective way to unravel, expand and explore one's own thoughts, feelings and beliefs, through the process of putting your thoughts down on paper.

 

Some clients want to undertake this practice but find it challenging so I offer resources to help develop their ability, for example using your own language, narrative or my questions to cue writing, drawing, diagrams - whatever works well for you. A session is conducted whereby you are able to journal with my guidance and explore what comes up, and from here I can utilise a number of techniques as I would in a standard session to tailor your journey if you wish.

 

Journaling is also free and flexible to do in your own time yet can be very informative and therapeutic - and can also help to inform and focus your stand-alone therapy sessions.

Drawing from my experience in business and management consulting, combined with my therapy training, I can guide you through what may seem like a complex maze of objectives, thoughts, and ideas. More importantly, I can help you overcome any self-limiting beliefs that might be holding you back from realising your full potential and pursuing your dreams.

At times, the person you are at 'work' may differ from the person you are or want to be at home. It's not about wearing a mask or being inauthentic; rather, it's about harnessing different aspects of your personality, strengths, and capabilities to adapt to various areas of your life. This is where the therapy element comes into play. Together, we'll work to align your objectives with staying true to yourself in all aspects of your life.

As part of my clients therapeutic plan, I often find it useful to provide audio recordings for clients to listen to in their own time, to build on our 1:1 sessions. These audio recordings are specific to each client's issues and needs, and are tailored to help penetrate the unconscious mind using NLP techniques, cues and hypnotic suggestions. The audios can help, for example, to elicit a state of relaxation or to help with confidence or sleep issues.
